Etsy fabric jewelry finds

I'm beginning to do some research on inspiration for my fabric jewelry class I will be teaching in a few weeks. I came across some amazing designers on Etsy and really have to share them with you.
First up is this fun brooch from Sophie Isobel Design, I love the colours and use of text. Please check out her shop as it was so hard deciding which brooch to feature as I love so many of them.
I had to feature a baby clip as my daugher Sienna's hair is finally growing and hopefully get some clips into it soon. This beautiful Peacock clip is from Pammy Dawn and I just adore it and the stitch features.
I've been particularly interested in using stitch within jewelry designs and came across MaMagasin's cross stitch flying duck. I adore it!!!
Flora Bond has the most magical necklaces pieces and I'm in LOVE with her shop. Hope to buy one of these in the near future. Please check out her shop as there are many more beautiful pieces.

Embroidery Class No. 2

On Saturday I had my 2nd embroidery class, I had 6 great students who all mastered the hand stitches I taught them. I loved how each person had their own sense of style and design. They all produced such different work and loved how they combined different patterns.
I am enjoying teaching alot, its just so rewarding seeing people create beautiful work. I am excited about my new class I'm doing in september - fabric jewelry! I already have alot of interest so hopefully I'll fill up the class.

Stitch and Teach

I felt so great sharing my passion for sewing, embroidery and stitch! I had 6 great students a mixture of friends and friends of friends. I taught them some basic sewing machine knowledge, several hand stitches and applique. They all had amazing ideas and it was exciting to see them implement them through stitch and fabric. We didn't have enough time to finish the project so I'm hoping to get some photos soon of there finished work!

Preparation for first Embroidery Class

I was excited to finally start my first embroidery class "hoops of love". I turned my little apartment in Westwood Los Angeles into a studio. I made a little pincushion for each student.

Creativity & (in)courage

Just came across (in)courage today by accident and so excited that I found out about it.
They ask the question what does (in)courage mean to me....
Hope, company, dreams, goals, achievement, embracing, loving, creative, expression, support, stepping out, going for it, being there, responding, hearing, laughing, exchanging, inspiriation.....and so much more.
